Connecting Platforms : Let's put Internet (or IFTT) to work!
In my earlier post today, I mentioned about connecting platforms and my trial for one such connection. Since that solution worked, I thought of writing up a post sharing what's the solution is all about and how I used it for my convenience.
It's been a lingering thought that I left this blogger account hanging there without much of my attention. Even though I was socializing through the other platforms, I could never find an easy way to replicate the same information across all platforms.
I came to know about IFTT.com and used one of their services to connect the channels I'm interested in. As they rightly proclaim - It's putting the internet to work for you.
Through IFTT.com - I created a recipe for connecting my Instagram and Blogger accounts. So whenever there is a new image shared in Instagram - it automatically creates a blog post and publish in my Blogger. Instagram has also got a in built sharing option for Tumblr and from Tumblr, we can tweet about a new post to Twitter.
Talking about these platforms - there is not much love between them and the content we share in one platform is not available / not compatible on the other platform. In these scenarios using IFTT.com makes more sense, because it excludes the hassle in repeating the same in other platforms.
Happy Sharing!
